Mr. James Mack entered this world on September 20, 1940, to William Mack and Millie Sanders in Marvell, Arkansas. He had one brother, Levi Burrell who preceded him in death. James was educated in the Marvel School System and graduated from Marvel High School in 1960.

He moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1964, and shortly after, he married Thelma Green and they had three children; Bernard, Doris Marie and James Jr This marriage was dissolved in 1975. He then met and fell in love with Erma Reliford and her children.

He and Erma married in 1977. To this union they had two children. James worked for Kansas City Park and Recreation as a tree trimmer and retired in 2003.

On October 23, 2018, he passed away peacefully leaving to cherish his memories, his wife, Erma Mack; children, Essence Mack, James Mack Jr., Malvin Reliford, Erma Reliford, Roy Reliford, Learlea Mitchell, John Reliford, Jermaine Mack, Bernard Mack and Doris Marie; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Evangel Temple 1414 103rd Street Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery.
