Obituary for James “Poochie” Laughter Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Mr. James “Poochie” Laughter, 71, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at his residence in Olive Branch, MS. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 23, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home (6815 Parkview Blvd. , Olive Branch, MS.

) A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Cedarview Baptist Church (3300 MS-305, Olive Branch, MS). Interment will be held at Lebanon Cemetery (Bethel Road) in Olive Branch, MS. Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Laughter was born on November 10, 1946, in Olive Branch, MS, where he was a life-long resident. Mr. Laughter was a proud charter member of the Cedarview Baptist Church, where he attended for 53 years. Mr. Laughter could usually be found piddling around in his barn doing mechanic work.

He also enjoyed working in his yard and tending to his garden. Most of all, he loved his grandchildren, as they meant the world to him. Mr. Laughter cherished the time he spent with his family and many close friends.

Mr. Laughter leaves behind his wife, Marie Murphy Laughter of Olive Branch; one son, Ray (Ashley) Laughter of Olive Branch; sister, Sarah Williams of Independence, MS; and two grandchildren, Oakley and Taylor Laughter of Olive Branch. Mr. Laughter was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Laughter and Lola Redding Laughter; and two brothers, Morris Laughter and Larry Ray Laughter.
