OBITUARY James Ray Hicks April 29, 1939 – July 16, 2018 Play Tribute Movie James Ray Hicks was born April 29, 1939 in Pelican, LA. His parents were Luvenia and Andy Hicks. He went to be with his Lord July 16, 2018 in Shreveport.

Mr. Hicks retired from Industrial Electronics after many years of service. He was a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church for more than 20 years. A service celebrating the Life of James Ray Hicks will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018, 10:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA.

Officiating will be Rev. Murry Hodge. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 9 AM until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Hicks is preceded in death by his parents and six siblings. Surviving Mr. Hicks is his wife of 40 years, Wanda; two sons, Roger Elliott and wife Regina and Jeffery Elliott and wife Sarah; a daughter, Sarah Hicks; a grandson, Jesse Ray Elliott; a great-grandson, Zachary Elliott; a sister, Mary Dupont and her family; other relatives and many friends.
