Obituary for James Rivest James F. Rivest, age 68, of Tamarack City, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born August 1, 1950 at Keweenaw Memorial Hospital in Laurium, MI to Gertrude and the late Fran Rivest. Jim graduated from Dollar Bay High School with the class of 1968.

Following high school, he entered the U.S. Navy where he served from 1968 – 1972. He married Laura Johnson on September 17, 1971. Jim worked at Louie’s Super Valu for 47 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. Jim is survived by his wife, Laura; his mother, Gertrude; 3 children: Kim, Jamie (Katie) and Dawn (Ralph); 3 grandchildren: Cooper, Gracey and Livia, Cecilia, and Maggie; one brother, Bill (Holly); many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Fran and brother, Donald.

A Christian burial mass will be held on Friday, December 28th at St. Josephs Church in Lake Linden at 11a.m. The family wishes to extend special thanks to all of the staff at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center and Hospice in Green Bay, WI.
