Obituary for James Robert “Mitch” Mitchell, Jr. MITCHELL, Mr. James Robert “Mitch” Jr. – age 75, passed away, Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Oakland. Family hour 10:00AM Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 318 Auburn Avenue with funeral services commencing immediately at 11:00AM. Pastor Timothy Lawrence, Officiating.

Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 North Belford Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church at 10:00AM Thursday. Mr. Mitchell, Jr. will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry Street, and may viewed from Noon – 8:00PM Wednesday.

Mr. Mitchell, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Myra L. Mitchell; children, Margaret (Gary) Cooper, James Mitchell, III, Travis (Twana) Henry, NeKesha (Jimmy) Mitchell, Keana France and Marvin (Mia) Shorter; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Michael (Carol) Mitchell, Gary Mitchell, Audrey Mitchell, Charlene Mitchell and Sheila Scurlark; sister-in-law, Vanita Mitchell and other relatives and friends. Mr. Mitchell, Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and James Mitchell, Sr. and brother, Leslie Mitchell.
