Funeral service for James Roy Fairbanks, 86, will be Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in New Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, May 31, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. Mr. Fairbanks died on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born January 1, 1933, in Morgan County to Red Fairbanks and Lucille Smith Fairbanks.

He was self employed as a plumber and carpenter, prior to retirement. He attended New Center Baptist Church. Preceding him in death were his wife: Bobbie Fairbanks, his parents, a daughter: Denise Fairbanks, a son: Tommy Fairbanks, a grandson: Zach Jeffreys and a close friend: Joyce Blankenship.

Survivors include: One Sister: Carolyn Simmons Seven Grandchildren: Shannon Terry, Nathan Terry, Dustin Melson, Jake Fairbanks, Christy Tucker, Jacob Daniel and Haley Speegle Fourteen Great Grandchildren One Great Great Grandchild Peck Funeral Home 1600 Hwy 31 SW P.O.
