Funeral service for Virginia Pridgeon Harris, 93, will be Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Shaddix officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church Mrs. Harris died on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at her residence. She was born Saturday, April 3, 1926, in Jefferson County to William Clarence Pridgeon and Ruby Mae Upshaw Pridgeon. She was a homemaker and wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother that loved her family dearly.

She grew up in Port St. Joe, Florida and graduated from API now Auburn University in 1948. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle and was bapitzed in the Gulf of Mexico. She enjoyed her bridge group and her Sunday School class.

Preceding her in death were her husband: Arthur Daniel Harris and her parents. Survivors include: One Son: Daniel Clay Harris (Missy), Seymour, TN Two Daughters: Donna Segars (Craig), Hartselle, AL and Robin Kessler (David), Madison, MS Five Grandchildren and Ten Great Grandchildren Pallbearers will be Croft Segars, Walter Segars, Huntley Segars, Ferrell Vest, Steve McKee and Fred Smith. Family would like to offer “Special Thanks” to Kindred Hospice of Cullman, Alabama and her caregivers: Totsi Holcomb, Renay Holcomb, Cynthia Puckett, Emma Tolbert, Shirley Hill, Holly Barber.
