A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Myra Jean Kirby, 75, will be Monday, May 13, 2019 at 12:30 PM at Johnson Chapel Cemetery with Geoff Halbrooks officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Monday, May 13, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. Ms. Kirby died on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at River City Center.

She was born December 16, 1943, in Morgan County to Fletcher Paris Kirby and Geneva (McDonald) Kirby. She was employed by The Decatur Daily in the Advertising Department prior to her retirement. She loved the outdoors, hiking and her dogs.

She played the the piano and guitar and loved gospel music and attended the Falkville Church of God. Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors include: Niece: Teresa Terry (Michael Hill) and Numerous other Nieces and Nephews Pallbearers will be Family & Friends.
