A Memorial service for Ralph Virgil Childers, 75, will be Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 2:30 PM at First Christian Church with Rev. Timothy Clark and Rev. Virgil Crisp officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at First Christian Church. Mr. Childers died on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Veterans Hospital in Birmingham. He was born June 26, 1943, in Morgan County to Robert Lee Childers and Marine Harris Childers.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Hartselle and was employed as a Truck Driver prior to his retirement. He also was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers: Royce Childers and Jeffrey Childers and a sister: Carolyn Sue Childers.

Survivors include: his Wife, Pauline Childers Two Sons: Richard Childers (Jane) and Rodney Childers Four Brothers: Bobby Childers (Neida), Ronald Childers (Linda), Roland Childers (Patricia) and Ruel Childers (Jennifer) Two Sisters: Dottie Gravley (Allan) and Judy Gibson (Mark) Two Grandchildren: Era Childers and Robert Childers In lieu of flowers: Memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church.
