James’ Obituary East Alton—James Maynard Todd, 77, passed away at 5:14 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Jerseyville Manor. Born Oct. 5, 1941 in Elsberry, MO, he was a son of Harry and Ruby (Lake) Todd.

He married “Heidi” (Schott) Mikaelsen June 30, 1962 in Wood River. She survives. Jim was a CAT scan technician, and started the CAT scan department at Alton Memorial Hospital in 1980, retiring after more than 30 years of service.

He was a member of Lifebrook Church, the Godfrey Lions, and the Mustang Club. He loved photography, bicycling, golfing and traveling with Heidi In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael Todd of Murrieta, CA and Brian Todd of Wood River; five grandchildren, Melissa, Marissa, Jensen, Justin & Rachel; and five great-grandchildren, Kailey, Payton, Evan, Ryan and Aubree. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert “Bob” Stillwell.

Memorial services are pending. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
