James Woodrow Cornell, 76 of Zanesville, passed away September 25, 2018 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born February 9, 1942 in Brush Creek, Muskingum County. He was son of the late Clelia Cornell and Pearl Hayhurst Cornell.

He is survived by his wife, Marlyn Tuttle Cornell, whom he married November 14, 1970; sons, Ronald Eric Quinlan, Chris (Tina) Quinlan; daughters, Cindy Jo Doyle, Kandi Cornell; sisters, Lilly Embrey Besser, Christine (George) Ore, Phyllis (Samuel) Work; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jamie Cornell; brothers, Albert Cornell, Howard Cornell; sister, Evelyn Waggle. Calling hours will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2018 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place Friday, September 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
