James J. Breeding, 86, of Bowling Green entered into rest Monday, September 17, 2018 at Christian Health Center. Jim was born December 26, 1931 in Breeding, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife Norene Breeding, parents James Smith Breeding and Malcus Johnson Breeding.

Also one sister Mary Enna Campbell. Jim was a broker having worked as a self-employed insurance agent. He was a member of First Baptist Church, and a deacon at Buechel Park Baptist Church in Louisville and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force having served during the Korean War.

He was a very generous and soft spoken gentleman and gave to dozens of causes. He was a devoted spouse, father, “Papa” and brother. Survivors include his daughter Debbie Belcher (Gerald), sister Portia Winchester (Dr. M. Allen Winchester), two brothers John Breeding (Rita) and Ben Breeding (Susan).

Two precious granddaughters Caitlin Belcher and Anne Thomas Belcher. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Friday, 11:00 am at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel.

Visitation will be Thursday, 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday 9:00 am until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Children’s Ministry at First Baptist Church in Bowling Green.
