James L. Miller, 69, of Fleming Island, FL passed away March 8, 2019. He was born August 8, 1949 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Joseph and Marion (Corpman) Miller. After graduating from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in 1967, James joined and served four years in the United States Navy.

He married his best friend and the love of his life, Linda Grusenmeyer on September 25, 1976. James was a dedicated and faithful member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church since 1977. Throughout his life, James enjoyed playing the organ, bowling, watching NASCAR and Jacksonville Jaguars football.

More than anything, he cherished time spent with his family. James will forever be remembered as being a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, best friend and for having the ability to always make others laugh. He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Linda Miller; children, Michael L. Miller, Jennie G. Leverett (Jeff), Kristie D. Christiansen (Brett) and Jonathan A. Miller; brother, Thomas A. Miller (Janet) and grandchildren, Ezekiel J. Grusenmeyer, Wesley T. Perkins, Dadrian T. Perkins, Justyce P. Leverett, Kyle B. Miller, Hannah F. Miller and Kenadie M. Christiansen.

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Friday, March 22, 2019 in the Jacksonville Memory Gardens Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11:00am, Saturday, March 23, 2019 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church with Rev. Marc Jones officiating.
