Obituary of James Sanders James R. Sanders, 67, of Millport, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. He was born in Canandaigua, NY on November 1, 1950, the son of the late Henry and Katherine (Cooper) Sanders. James served with the US army from 1970-1972.

He loved the outdoors and was a good friend and neighbor. He is survived by his adopted family, Carl and Lois Scott of Millport, along with their children, Christina and Daryle Gentz of Painted Post, Michael and Amy Scott of Watkins Glen, Phillip Scott of Bradford, and Virginia and Christopher Taft of Montour Falls; sixteen nieces and nephews; and one great niece. Private services will be held by the family.

Burial will be in Montour Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, Montour Falls.
