Obituary of James Mahaffey James Scott Mahaffey, 51, of Huntsville passed away peacefully on December 31, 2018. Born July 29, 1967 in Woodville, Texas, he lived in Tyler County for many years before moving to Huntsville. James was a true cowboy who loved working cattle and being on horseback.

He loved to fish and hunt and spend time with family and friends. James is survived by his mother and step-father, Jo Ann Adams and Mike Davis; father and step-mother, James and Linda Mahaffey; sons, Will Mahaffey, Seth Mahaffey and Andrew Scott Mahaffey; grandchildren, Caiden Marie Mahaffey and Maverick Mahaffey; step sister, Tammy Marsh and a host of other family members and friends. A 12 noon grave side service will be held Friday, January 4, 2019, at the Mt.

Hope Cemetery in Chester with Brother Larry Trest officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Will Mahaffey, Seth Mahaffey, Andrew Scott Mahaffey, Kelly Jobe, Kara Migl, Tom Pate and Jacob Connor.
