Jane Louise Lyons Anderson, 91, of Franklin died on July 12, 2018 at the Franklin House under the care of her family, Franklin House Staff, and CarePartners Home Care and Hospice Services. Jane was born December 31, 1926 in Greensburg, PA to Robert Earl Lyons, Sr. and Nyda Grace (Kettering) Lyons. She married the love of her life and soulmate Domer Slater Anderson on August 23, 1956 and celebrated 61 years of marriage before Domer went to his eternal home in 2017.

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Jane moved with her family to Tampa, FL in 1946. There she was married and raised three children with Domer. She was an active member of Tampa Tabernacle, Open Bible Church (Tampa), Bethel Temple Assembly of God (Tampa), and Christian Life Assembly of God (Spring Hill).

She loved to sing in the church choir and was active as a leader and volunteer in the church seniors’ group. Jane was employed with GTE before becoming a full-time wife and mother. She also worked in Bethel Temple’s administrative office and with Duvall-Bibb in Tampa.

She loved to care for her family, sew, read, and do crafts. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life. Jane and Domer retired in Brooksville, FL (1997) and relocated first to Havana, FL (2014) and then to Franklin, NC (2016) to be closer to their children.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband Domer, her parents, and two siblings: Robert Lyons, Jr. and Alta Coish. She is survived by her children: Kandace (Alan) Murphy, Keith (Shari) Anderson, and Kimberly (Kenneth) Pearce; Seven grandchildren: Katie Murphy James, Shelby Easton, Erin Barbee, Alex Murphy, Kelsey Pitts, Rebeccah Anderson, and Garrett Anderson; and four great grandchildren. A graveside service will be followed by interment at Sunset Memory Gardens in Thonotosassa, FL, Monday, July 16, 2018 at 1:30 PM.
