Janet Jaynes Noblitt, age 81, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Rutherford, NC. Janet was born in Burke County on October 30, 1937 to the late Jim and Rosalie Edwards Jaynes. She was a loving wife, and well-loved mother.

Janet liked to cook, but was ultimately dedicated to taking care of her family and pets. Janet never met a stranger, she enjoyed talking to people, and valued reading. She is preceded in passing by her beloved husband of 60 years, Frank Jonas Noblitt.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, son Gary Noblitt, and daughter Frankie Jane Noblitt, both of the home; two sisters, Doris Wise and husband Forrest of Nebo, and Reba Hollifield and husband Paul of Erwin, TN; and a brother, Jimmy Jaynes of Nebo; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm in the chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home in Marion. The funeral service will follow in theat 3:00 pm.
