Janet M. “Jenny” Perine, 73, of Steubenville passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at Valley Hospice. She was born in Steubenville on July 20, 1945 the daughter of the late George E. and Isabell K. Brodie Ferguson, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Thomas Cattrell. Jenny retired with over 35 years working for Steubenville School District as a cook.

She graduated from Steubenville High School Class of 1964 and was a faithful follower of “Big Red” sports. She loved to craft and never met a stranger. She is survived by her children, whom she loved and adored, Donald B. (Karrie) Perine Jr. of Steubenville, Sherri (Jimmy) Jackson, Lisa (Rico) Collins both of Richmond, Christy (Todd) Cattrell of Toronto and Casey (Rob) Greiner of Amsterdam; twelve grandchildren Zachary (Anna) Perine, Karla (Nick) Deah, Shay (Josh) Greiner, Mallory Perine, Shyen (Jeffrey) Davis, Daniel Chappell, Jenna (Eli) Brewer, Bryan, Jacob and Isabell Cattrell, Camden and Nolan Greiner; eleven great grandchildren; brother and best friend with whom she resided, George E. Ferguson Jr. of Steubenville and her canine companion “Murphy”.

Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.; where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Minister Tom Derby officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
