Janice May Laswell, 71, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday July 28, 2018 in Westminster Village. She was born September 27, 1946 in Terre Haute to Ernest Nees and Phyllis (Brandt) Nees. Janice is survived by daughters, Sharon Taylor (Aaron) of Durango, CO, Carol Williams (Chad) of Terre Haute, and Sarah Gossett (Jeff) of Terre Haute; a son, Wayne Laswell (Amy) of Clinton; grandchildren, Jacob Taylor (Jennifer), Joshua Taylor, Logan Laswell (fiancée Brooke McMullen), Molly Laswell, Corey Snowden, Brice Snowden, Sydney Snowden, Nick Williams, Harry Williams, Rose Williams, Zachary Gossett, Mallory Gossett, and Zane Gossett; great-grandchildren, Lincoln Taylor, Jaxon Taylor, Bowen Moseley, Maylee Hoggatt, and Finley Laswell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ronald Eugene Laswell, who died September 25, 2013 and a brother, Gerald Nees. She was a member of Cory United Methodist Church, the Sycamore Club, Union Hospital Service League and the Red Hat Society. She also belonged to her Wednesday Card Group and a Bunco Group.

She and her husband supported Indiana State University Basketball and she enjoyed bowling, gardening, cooking, sewing, and she loved to go shopping. Visitation will be Wednesday August 1, 2018 from 1:00 until 3:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 3:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Rod Maris officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
