OBITUARY Dr. William Leroy Baker January 10, 1957 – July 23, 2018 Dr. William “Bill” L. Baker, 61, of Terre Haute passed away on July 23, 2018. Bill was born on January 10, 1957 in Bedford to Marion Eugene Baker and Mildred June Weyer Baker. He served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant.

Bill was recently a professor of Construction Management at ISU. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Janet Moore. Surviving are his brother, Dr. Richard Baker and wife Ellen; his children, Dr. Thomas Baker and wife Amber, Mark Baker and wife Tiffany, Sarah Osborn and husband Jeff, Andy Roman, and Katey Earl and husband Shaun; and his many beloved grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 3 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, with Pastor Mel Camp officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until time of services at the funeral home. Those who knew Bill know that he was a very passionate and active member of the community.

He was very involved in many organizations that gave to the community in various ways including; building, clothing, feeding, and fund raising. In honor of Bill’s memory, the family asks that you return an act of kindness to your community knowing that it will take all of us to replace only a fraction of his efforts.
