Janie Elizabeth Gibbs, 53, of the South Toe community of Yancey County, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018, at Mission Hospitals Memorial Campus. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of Madelyn Autrey Gibbs of Burnsville and the late John Lawrence Gibbs, Jr. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are sons: Nathan Hensley and Andrew Hensley; a daughter: Brynlea Howell; a sister: Katherine Roeders; and, a nephew: Kegan Roeders. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Friday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.

Rev. Jeff Autrey will officiate. Burial will follow in the Carroway Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
