A homegoing celebration for Mr. Jean Vilsaint of Tampa, FL who passed away on Saturday, April 28th will be held on Saturday, May 12th, 11:00 a.m. at El-Bethel Church, 6611 N. 15th Street, Tampa, FL 33610. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Jean Vilsaint was bron in Haiti in a small town called Arahaie on October 23, 1937 to the parentage of Vil Vilsain and Deya Vilsain.

He had 3 brothers, Blanc Vilsaint, Mareus Vilsaint and Vilair Vilsaint. In his early age he met Marie-Therese and fell in love and they got married. They have 4 children together: Jean Mercidieu Vilsaint, Jena Elie Vilsaint, Evans Vilsaint and Christina Vilsaint.

This couple was an example family and were always together. He spent 42 years in Haiti working as a farmer and taking care of his family. In 1980 he decided to leave Haiti and became a U.S. resident.

He started working as a cook. He loved what he was doing. He was a Christian, loved God, loved to pray and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

His last church was New born in Tampa, he was kind and respected everyone. Over the year 1996 he started having some health issues. Not feeling good day by day.

His situation became worst, last year’s 2017 he had to stay in a nursing room in the fletcher facility. He suffered with blood sugar and kidney problems. He fought for his life but…unfortunately , Saturday, April 28, 2018 he had called home and rested in peace at 81 years old, He is survived by his 5 children: Vilner Vilsaint, Jean Mercidieu Vilsaint, Jean Elie Vilsaint, Evans Jean Vilsaint, Christina Vilsaint, one adopted child, Julienne Vilsaint; grandchildren, Jandolph Vilsaint, Esther Vilsaint, Elizah- Theresa Maxael Vilsaint, Denzel Saintoire, Leonardo Saintoire, Obama Saintoire, Algla Vilsaint, Kevin Vilsaint, Chance Vilsaint, Destiny Vilsaint, Jamila Vilasaint, Ja’vontae Ava Vilsaint, Vilsaint, Pierre, Samoha, Vilsaint, Pierre, Sabiano, Vilsaint, Pierre and Samoha Vilsaint.

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 11th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
