Obituary for Jean Bacon (Flood) Jean (Flood) Bacon passed away July 13, 2018. She was born November 17, 1936 in Calais, Maine, the daughter of Clinton and Doris (Harriman) Flood. Jean graduated from Calais Memorial High School and the St. Croix Commercial College.

She worked for 14 and a half years at Merrill Trust Co. and then went to Fleet Bank in Bangor. She retired in 1988. Jean was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Millwee #198 of Orrington, the Grand Lake Stream Historical Society and the Hampden Kiwanis Club.

Jean and Gregory A. Bacon met in Calais and were married on January 11th 1958. They loved traveling in their motorhome and visited all 50 states. Greg and Jean had been married for over 50 years.

Greg predeceased her in 2014. Jean is survived by her daughter, Bonnie and her husband, Stephen Biddle III, of Alton, New Hampshire, a son, Jeffery A. Bacon and his wife, Trudy Bacon of Hampden, grandchildren, Nathan A. Bacon and his wife, Melissa of Hampden, Elizabeth Biddle and Ed Wilkish of New Hampshire and Stephen “Spike” Biddle and wife, Lauren of Portland, Maine. Great grandchildren, Wyatt A. Bacon and Charlotte Jo.

At Jean’s request there will be a graveside service in Grand Lake Stream to be announced in the fall.
