Obituary of Robert Brewer, II Robert ‘Bob’ Owen Brewer II, 61, lost his battle with cancer on September 7, 2018, at a Bangor Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. Robert was born in Presque Isle, Maine on August 21, 1957, the son of Robert Owen Brewer I and Patricia Pelletier-Brewer-French. He is survived by his daughter, Jordan Brewer and Justin Caras; brother, David Brewer; sisters, Deborah Brewer-Smith; Rhonda Haradon and husband Scott Haradon; niece, Morgan Haradon; and nephews, Benjamin Smith and Leslie Miller; Andrew Smith and Brooke Getchell; grandnieces, Brookelynn, Madison, and Finley; and grand nephew, Easton.

As a member of a military family, Bob grew up in North Carolina, Missouri, Maryland and Maine. He was an Eagle Scout, Choir boy and participated in many sports throughout the years. After graduating from John Bapst High School in 1976, Bob attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle, before becoming a salesman for Jordan’s Meats.

Later he found a passion in designing jewelry, became an apprentice and then a talented jeweler. He owned and operated the Diamond Connection in Bangor Maine until he was overcome by addiction in 2004. Since that time, Bob has not only been motivated to positively change his own life, but also determined to support others to change the direction of their lives, and lived by the motto, “Be the Change you wish to see in the World”.

Bob will be remembered for his love of his family and friends, particularly his daughter Jordan. Bob had a strong work ethic and continued to work as Service Manager at Dorr’s Equipment throughout his treatment of pancreatic cancer. He enjoyed nature, photography, reading and meditation.

Bob will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him, including his friend Rick Jones, Amy Goode, and many others. He had strong opinions on a variety of subjects, especially politics, and loved to argue his point when he had the opportunity. He was a spirited and generous man who endeared himself to those who knew him.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 11 o’clock at Jeff’s Catering, 15 Littlefield Road, Brewer, Maine. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have contributions sent to EMMC Cancer Care of Maine in memory of Robert Owen Brewer II.
