Obituary for Daniel Maurice Varney Daniel Maurice Varney Orrington – Daniel Maurice Varney, 82, passed away November 13, 2018. He was born September 25, 1936 in Bangor, the son of Joseph and Ester Varney. He entered the U.S Army December 28, 1936 and was stationed in Germany as part of the ARMED ENGR Co. 305.

He was honorably discharged; after which he married and had three children, Randall A. Varney, Brian Varney, and Marjorie Foster. He was divorced and remarried to Mary Pat Varney for 35 years. He is survived by his wife and three children, as well as seven grandchildren; Christine Varney, Keri Baggett, Kasie Herndon, Katlin Varney, Courtney Varney, Brittany Varney, and Ashley Merithew; nine grandchildren, Madalynn and Juliette Baggett, Emma Curtis, Gracie and Avery Cusello, Amethyst, Brooklyn, Joslyn Merithew, and Nikolai Cousin.
