Mrs. Jean Marie Harwell, a resident of Ozark, died Thursday morning, January 3, 2019, at her home. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public services for Mrs. Harwell. Mrs. Harwell was born December 2, 1952 in Chico, California to the late Robert Bruce Wallace and June Marie Winters Wallace.

She was a cowgirl and an avid outdoors person. She enjoyed playing golf and sailing the San Francisco Bay. Survivors include one daughter, Caroljean Harwell-Rose (Dr. Thomas Rose); beloved grandchildren, Samantha Jean Moten (Derek “Nuke”), Zachary Nitschman, and Adam Keaton McDonald; her best friend and ex-husband, Gary Richard Harwell; two brothers, Clayton Myers and Steve Wallace.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36111.
