Obituary for Mrs. Jean N. Wersits Jean Wersits (nee Sparks) age 99 years of Gibbstown died Sunday December 30, 2018 in her home. Mrs. Wersits was born in Carneys Point and lived in Gibbstown her whole life. She was a 1936 graduate of Paulsboro High School and during World War II she worked as a dynamite packer at DuPont Repauno Works.

Mrs. Wersits attended Clonmell Methodist Church her whole life. She was a member of the Greenwich Township Senior Citizens Club and for many years she delivered meals for serv-a-tray. She enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting, trips to the casinos and she was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Pardon of Gibbstown; her grandsons, Jeff and Dena Haney, Eugene and Gladys Haney, Steven and Nicole Pardon, Jason and Jennifer Haney; 6 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Wersits was predeceased by her husband, Frank Wersits and her daughter, Patricia Haney. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday January 5, 2019 in the McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family Saturday morning after 10 AM until service time. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. Contributions can be made in her memory to the Scholarship Fund at Clonmell Church, 516 W. Broad St., Gibbstown, NJ 08027.
