OBITUARY Jean P. Grondzik December 16, 1926 – December 12, 2018 Jean (Puglisi) Grondzik, 91, of Newington and formerly Wethersfield and Hartford, beloved wife for 47 years of the late Edward Grondzik, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Born in Hartford on December 16, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary Antoinette (Tosi) Puglisi. Jean worked for almost 30 years for the State of CT, retiring in 1987.

A devout Catholic, Jean was professed in the 3rd Order of St. Dominic in 1956. She was also a member of St. Luke’s Rosary Altar Society, Elm Senior Citizens and Legion of St. Mary. Jean leaves behind two daughters, Marie Christopher and her husband Ronald, and Catherine Champlain; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sister, Josephine West. Funeral services will leave Monday (December 17) at 9:45 a.m. from the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. , Wethersfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Annunciation Parish (St. Mary’s Church), 626 Willard Ave.

, Newington. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
