Obituary of Jean Angstadt Jean L. (Krick) Angstadt, 82, of Fleetwood, passed away on Sunday evening, March 18th, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Born January 11, 1936 in West Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Mary E. (Gaenzle) Krick. Her husband and best friend of 57 years, Robert E. Angstadt Sr., passed away on July 17, 2011.

She was a 1953 graduate of Oley Valley High School, where she participated in the Glee Club and was the art editor of the yearbook. Jean devoted her life to what she enjoyed the most, caring for her nine children and later her grandchildren. Her greatest joys were her family and pets.

She loved baking, crosswords, and cultivating beautiful flower beds with her husband. Jean is survived by her eight children, Susan L. (Angstadt) Nagel, wife of Dana L. Nagel, Boyertown, Christine M. (Angstadt) Groff, Robesonia, Janie H. (Angstadt) May, wife of William A. May, Sinnamahoning, PA, Cynthia A. (Angstadt) Sadowski, wife of John A. Sadowski, Fleetwood, Robert E. Angstadt Jr., husband of Pamela M. (Burgert) Angstadt, Kutztown, David P. Angstadt, husband of Ann L. (Boyer) Angstadt, Fleetwood, Richard W. Angstadt, husband of Victoria L. (Longan) Angstadt, Leesport and Tracy M. Angstadt, Fleetwood. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas M. “Bud” Angstadt, he was 25.

She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her grandsons, Darren A. Nagel and James P. Reese and her sister, Carol E. Christman. A Memorial Service for Jean will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018, at 6:30 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood.

A visitation will be held Monday from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market St, Ste 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106 or to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd, Birdsboro, PA 19508 Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, Fleetwood, is honored to be caring for Jean and her family.
