Obituary of Jean Chandler Jean Elizabeth Chandler, age 74, passed away quietly on Wednesday morning October 24, 2018 at Glen Hill Nursing Center in Danbury. Jean was born July 29, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Robert and Elizabeth Robin McGhee. Jean worked most recently at JoAnn Fabrics after working many years at Blockbuster Video, a job she truly enjoyed.

Jean worked for many years at Supplemental Childcare Services, Brookfield. She also enjoyed watching movies, reading, scrapbooking and crossword puzzles. Anything that had to do with Egypt, Jean was interested in, but mostly she was a homebody who loved spending time with her granddaughter, Kyra.

Jean will be sadly missed by her sons: Robert Scott Chandler of Danbury and Edward Chandler, Jr. and his wife, Laura of New Milford and her beloved granddaughter, Kyra Chandler. She is also survived by her Brother-in-law, Michael Gillotti of Newtown. Jean was predeceased by her sister Anne Mcghee Gillotti.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Moose Lodge (75 Boulevard Dr. Danbury), where Jean was a member since 1966, on Sunday November 4th from 2pm – 5pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution in Jean’s honor, may be made to: American Cancer Society, please visit their website: donate3.
