Jeanette D. Almond, 88, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Trinity Place in Albemarle. Mrs. Almond was born November 4, 1929 in Stanly County to the late Clyde Frank Davis and Cornelia Alexander Davis. She was also preceded in death by husband, Melvin Gene Almond.

Jeanette was graceful, compassionate, fun loving, creative, elegant, and determined. She had the ability to overcome any obstacle that came her way. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She expressed unconditional love for all people throughout her life and was such an inspiration. Jeanette was a true southern lady. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 3:45 PM, Thursday, May 3, 2018 in the sanctuary at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 28766 NC 24-27 Highway, Albemarle.

The funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM officiated by Rev. Brad Hinton. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Survivors include son, Bruce G. Almond (Diane); daughters, Denise Almond Crosby (John), Terry Almond Peck (James), and Tracy Almond Gaddy all of Albemarle, grandchildren, Amanda Arey (Doug), Angie Morrison (Matt), Graham Crosby (Krista), Andrew Crosby, Katharine Crosby, Shelly Mills (Brian), Brandy Peck (Ramsey), Jacqui Barringer (Matt), and Thomas Gaddy; great grandchildren, Ashley, Landon, Ryan, Caleb, Davis, Clara, Trevor, Jacob, Bailey, Ellie, Layla, Ariel, Oliver, Trenton and Camden; great great grandchildren, Jaden, Emma, Henry, Titus, Eli, Riley, and Addie; and sister, Kathrine D. Eudy. Memorials may be made to Trinity Place, 24724 South Business 52, Albemarle, NC 28001, Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 28766 NC 24-27 HIghway, Albemarle, NC 28001, or Community Home Care and Hospice of Troy, 1024 Albemarle Road Suite 904,Troy, NC 27371.
