Jeanette De Vries October 15, 1918 – January 08, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Jeanette De Vries, 100, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 8, 2018 at Froedtert South Kenosha Medical Center Campus. She was born on October 15, 1918 to the late John and Wilhelimina (Van Oost) Pynakker in Burlington, WI. Jeanette was educated in the schools of Roseland, IL.

She graduated from Pullum Technical in 1936. In 1955 she married John G. De Vries in Chicago. He preceded her in death on February 27, 1989.

Jeanette worked as a cook for the Kenosha Unified School District in the hot lunch program from 1964 retiring in 1987. Jeanette was a member of the Kenosha Christian Reformed Church. Jeanette enjoyed knitting, crocheting, arts and crafts and reading.

Jeanette is survived by her son John G, De Vries of Kenosha and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by three sisters Anna Carlson, Rose and Katherine Pynakker and six brothers Sam, Henry, Charles, Richard, Claude and Edward. Funeral Services for Jeanette will be held on Saturday, January 12th at 11:00 a.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials would be appreciated to Kenosha Christian Reformed Church for their Missionaries.
