Jeanne L. Gordon, 88, of Cressona, PA, passed away Thursday, November 22nd, at her residence. Born in Washington Township on May 15, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Arthur & Ida (Heinbach) Krause. She was the wife of Robert R. Gordon.

The couple would have celebrated 68 years of marriage this coming January. Jeanne was a graduate of Pine Grove High School, Class of 1948, and had been previously employed by local textile factories. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by four siblings: John, Harold, & Lewis Manbeck, and Sallie Strause. In addition to her husband, Jeanne is also survived by three sons: Richard Gordon & wife, Delretta, Auburn, Thomas Gordon & wife, Jane, Schuylkill Haven, and Robert Gordon & companion, Debra Lombel, Schuylkill Haven, a daughter, Gail Buffington & husband, Scott, Schuylkill Haven, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at the family’s convenience.
