Jeannette J. (Pelletier) Chapdelaine, 79, of North Smithfield, passed away on July 11, 2018 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Edgar “Chappy” Chapdelaine who passed away on June 21, 2017. They would have celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary this June.

Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Gerard and Beatrice (Blanchet) Pelletier. She and Chappy were devoted leaders in World Wide Marriage Encounter in RI and FL. They lived in Florida for 16 years before returning to RI in 2008.

Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family, going to the beach, playing Uno, and listening to music by Father Pat. Jeannette went out of her way to make holidays and family gatherings special for everyone. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church and very dedicated to her faith.

Jeannette is survived by three daughters, Michelle A. Lamothe and her husband Larry of Lincoln; Louise M. Damon and her husband Rick of Richmond, RI and Susan E. Gaulin of Woonsocket; one son Ronald G. Chapdelaine and his wife Charlotte of Warwick, four grandchildren, Amy and Alex Phillips, Nicholaus and Andrew Gaulin, and a sister-in-law, Jacqueline Pelletier of North Smithfield. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerard, Roland and Eugene Pelletier Her funeral will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Parish (Former OLQM),1409 Park Ave. , Woonsocket.

Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5- 8 PM in the funeral home. In memory of Jeannette contributions may be made to The National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, 947 Park St., Attleboro, MA 02703 or Holy Trinity Parish.
