A memorial service for Jeannette Marie Nyman, 47, of Meadow Grove, will be at a later date this summer. Jeannette died at her home in Meadow Grove Sunday, May 6, 2018. Jeannette was born on August 18, 1970, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of George and Glenda (Ankrom) Penhiter.

She was raised in Elk River and worked at Dunham’s wood working shop. There she met Calvin Nyman who also worked the shop. On July 3, 1993, Jeannette married Calvin Nyman at the First United Methodist Church in Norfolk.

The couple made their home in Meadow Grove, NE. Jeannette is survived by her children: Katy (Jay) Nyman, of Pierce, Crystal (Scott) Gerdes, of Aurora, and Mikel Nyman, of Meadow Grove; one grandson, Kalvin Podliska; her siblings: Dawna (Mark) Remley, of Princeton, MN, Lorrie Penhiter, of Princeton, MN, and Tony Penhiter, of Norfolk. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, Calvin Jr. Condolences may be expressed to the family on the funeral home website or sent to 501 South Sunset Street, Lot 8, Pierce, NE 68767.
