Jeannine L. Finley, 71, of Kingsford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at her home. She was born September 11, 1947 in Detroit, MI, daughter of the late Amos and Corrine (Johnson) Rice. Jeannine graduated from East Detroit High School in 1965.

She married Darrell Finley on June 22, 1966 in Detroit. They moved to the area in 1970 and started a family. As her children got older, Jeannine took a position as a cook with the Breitung Township School District where she worked for over 20 years, retiring in 2005.

Jeannine enjoyed crossword puzzles, socializing, and she loved her pets. More than anything, she cherished time spent with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by three children, Darrell (Angela) Finley of Norway, Dean Finley (Raegen) of Kingsford and Danyel (Brian) Pipp of Breitung Township; a sister, Gina (Tim) Dettman of Breitung Township; five grandchildren, Tanner Finley, Heather Hewlett, Andres Finley, and Nolan & Blake Pipp; special friends, Jim Sparapani, Dixie Luoma, and Mary & Dave McMahon; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jeannine was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell in 1998; and a brother, Michael Rice. Services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
