Obituary for Jeffrey Bjork Jeffrey Lee Bjork, 64, of Goodhue, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at his home. He was born February 12, 1954, in Wabasha, to William and Pearl (Grob) Bjork. He grew up in Alma, Wisconsin and graduated from high school in 1972.
He went on to attend Eau Claire Dist. 1 Technical College and received his associate’s degree in fashion merchandising. For 25 years he was employed with Lady Foot Locker, working in Texas, Alabama, Florida and New Orleans.
In the late 90’s he returned to the area and worked at Red Wing Chevrolet. He currently was employed with Clear Wave Hearing. On February 14, 2004, he married Mitzi Warrington.
Together they enjoyed cooking and learning about new wines, golfing, spending time with family and traveling—something they were looking forward to in their retirement years. Jeff was competitive in nature and was a trivia expert, especially when it came to sports. He was huge Green Bay Packer fan but also enjoyed taking in a college football game.
Music was also important to Jeff, especially rock n’ roll and he was a member of the Red Wing Elk’s Lodge BPOE #845. He is survived by his wife, Mitzi of Goodhue; his mother, Pearl of Pepin, WI; 3 siblings, Sue Church of Pepin, WI, Bill (Dorothy) Bjork of Stockholm, WI and Tom (Jackie) Bjork of Beaver Dam, WI; Mitzi’s children, Alan (Heather) Fjerstad, Jennifer Ryan, Tom (Rachel) Ryan and Shaun Ryan; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William and a brother-in-law, Allan Church.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018 at United Lutheran Church with Rev. Karl Rydholm officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Mahn Family Funeral home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
