Obituary for Yvonne “Bibs” Johnson Yvonne Adaire “Bibs” Johnson, 90, of Bay City, died Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the River Falls Area Hospital. She was born on August 9, 1927, in Red Wing to Herman and Eva (Olson) Rosenberg and raised by Herman and Freda Rosenberg. Bibs attended schools in Red Wing and worked as a waitress where she met Orville Johnson.

They were married on March 10, 1945 and farmed their whole life in the Maiden Rock area. She also worked for various businesses in Red Wing over the years. Orville died on July 13, 1996.

She was a past member of Eidsvold Lutheran Church in Esdaile and attended bible study in Red Wing. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, fishing, camping, going for ride, socializing with family and friends and in the later years have Saturday morning breakfast with friends. Bibs is survived by four children, Judy (Bill) Brookshaw, Jeanne (Rodney) Bechel, Stanley (Kellie) Johnson and Julie (Gary) Murphy; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two sisters, Kathleen (Roger) Meyer and Mary (Jerry) Most; two brothers, Richard (Shirley) Rosenberg and LaVern (Cathy) Rosenberg; one brother-in-law, Glenn Johnson along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Steven; one great grandson, Jacob Johnson and two sisters, Alberta Holden and Betty Hanson. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery.
