Jenny M. Poore, 85, of New Market, passed away on Thursday. Jenny had a kind heart, was caring and always willing to do things for others, and was always willing to forgive. She was preceded in death by her son, Elton Lee Poore; Her sisters: Bessie Sneed, Roberta Ressigue, and Madelyn “Mae” Foster Hillis; Her parents: Samuel & Minnie Jane Hillis.

Surviving family members include her daughters, Anne Lamb, Portia Case, Vickie Holmes, and Donna Roberts; Her son, Dennis Poore; Her sister, Mary Seals; She is also survived by 21 grand-children and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 to 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2pm at the funeral home with Pastor Josh Duncan officiating.

Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
