Jeraldene “Jeri” Miller November 17, 1943 ~ November 9, 2018 Jeraldene “Jeri” Miller, 74, passed away peacefully on the morning of November 9, 2018 at Harrison Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Ogden, Utah. The family is grateful for the staff of Harrison Pointe and Brighton Hospice for their kind and loving professional care. Jeri was born on November 17, 1943, in South Gate, Los Angeles County, California, the daughter of Jerald Kermit and Ruby Estella Rice Tolman.

Jeri graduated from Bellflower High School in 1962. She married Gerald Lee “Gary” Miller on January 19, 1963. They had one daughter, LaRhonda “Roni” Lynn Miller, born September 15.

1963. Gary passed away in 1977 and was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, California. Jeraldene would lose her daughter unexpectedly on October 11, 1997.

Roni was laid to rest in Sandy, Utah. Jeri learned to enjoy her independence after Gary’s death, but was heartbroken when Roni passed. She longed to be with Roni again especially during the last weeks of her life.

Jeri was employed starting soon after her marriage until she retired in 2008. Her first employment was with the Bellflower, California US Postal service. Her final employment was with Weber Human’s Services in Ogden, Utah until she retirement due to health issues.

She was considered a valued employee — known for her integrity and reliability. Jeri moved in with her parents in 2003 to help with their care prior to their passing. She and her brother David made it possible for JK and Ruby to live at home during their remaining years.

She loved to own and drive fun cars like her Pontiac Fiero, and her Golden Eagle Jeep or “Yeep” as she called it. She loved to explore beautiful State and National Parks. She also loved photography capturing the grandeur of those areas as she traveled.

Jeri’s greatest joy were her cats who were a of comfort and humor. Towards the end of her life, those same cats came to comfort and soothe her at the care center and were only visible to Jeri. Jeri loved her parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She enjoyed the reunions with both the Tolman and Rice families often taking pictures of those events. Jeri was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, becoming fully engaged in the gospel in her middle years. She taught lessons in Relief Society and was a secretary to the Young Woman’s program and also was a Visiting Teacher.

Jeri is survived by her grandson, Robert Gabaldan Jr.; her sister, Mona (Kenyon), Ogden; her brother, Duane (Elsa), Jerome, Idaho; and Sandi Tolman, Ogden, who survives Jeri’s beloved brother, David. Jeri was also preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary; and her precious daughter, Roni. Funeral services will be held at on Saturday, November 17, 2018 (Jeri’s 75th birthday) at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 Crestwood Road.
