Mr. Jerry Kenyon Johnson, age 78 of Clarksville, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 21st at his home of natural causes. He was born May 10, 1940 in Enterprise, Alabama the son of the late James Edward and Mildred Jane Metcalf Johnson. He was a member of Trenton Baptist Church and former member and deacon of Northbridge Baptist Church in Charleston, South Carolina, a veteran with the United States Air Force and an Auburn Tigers Football Fan.
He loved his family and enjoyed cooking. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Margaret “Celia” Johnson of Clarksville; two daughters Karen Johnson and Amy Soto (Billy) both of Clarksville; one brother James D. Johnson of Winchester, Tennessee; two sisters Martha Overall of Bristow, Virginia and Margaret Mann of Lake Toxaway, North Carolina and two grandchildren Will and Sarah Soto both of Clarksville.
Visitation with the Johnson family will be on Monday, November 26th from 10:00 until funeral service time at 11:00 at the Trenton Baptist Church in Trenton, Kentucky with Tom Hughes and Billy Soto officiating. Interment will follow at the Edgewood Cemetery in Trenton. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Trenton Baptist Church.
