Obituary for Jerry L. Robbins Jerry L. Robbins, age 75 died on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. Jerry was born on April 24, 1943 in San Angelo, Texas to John Edgar Robbins and June (Lamberth) Robbins. Jerry graduated from San Angelo High School in 1961 and then went on to graduate from Abilene Christian University in 1965 before moving to Irving in 1968.
He served honorably in the National Guard Reserves from 1968 – 1972. Jerry worked for the National Chemsearch & Core Laboratories before starting a private practice accounting firm in Irving during the early 80’s, where he eventually retired from. Jerry was a member of the Irving Healthcare Foundation board and a member of the Irving Rotary Club.
He was also a longtime member of South MacArthur Church of Christ and then Irving Bible Church. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and brothers John E. Robbins III, and Joe Robbins. Left to cherish his memory are his spouse of 52 years Cheryl Robbins; children Todd Robbins and wife Terry, Jolie Clevenger and husband Don; grandchildren Trevor Robbins, Ian Robbins, William Clevenger, Luke Clevenger, and Joshua Clevenger; sister Janice Mauldin and husband Tony; as well as many other extended family and loving friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd. , Irving, TX 75061. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 also at the funeral home.
An interment will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Dalhart Cemetery, 302 Cherry Avenue Dalhart, Texas.
