Obituary for Jessie A. Wojcik New Hartford – Jessie A. (Calhoun) Wojcik, 97, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at St. Luke’s Home. Jessie was born on September 6, 1920 in New Hartford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Maydole) Calhoun. She was a graduate of UFA.

On January 12, 1939, Jessie married Stephen M. Wojcik in St. Patrick’s Church. They enjoyed 64 years together prior to his death on June 4, 2003. Jessie was employed as a nurse’s aide at St. Elizabeth Hospital prior to retiring.

Jessie was proud of her family. Her fondest memories were spending time at her grandparent’s farm. Jessie enjoyed garage sales and playing cards.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Robert Jeck, New Hartford; sons and daughters-in-law and Paul and Donna Wojcik, Schuyler, Michael and Josephine Wojcik, Whitesboro, David and Delores Wojcik, Utica, Joseph and Debra Wojcik, Marcy; brothers and a sister-in-law, John and Dorothy Calhoun, Utica and James Calhoun, Frankfort; sister, Mary Ann Derby, Florida; 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jessie was predeceased by her son, Stephen J. Wojcik and sisters, Elizabeth Sharkey, Grace Walker and Olive Shook. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday 5-7 p.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd.

, Utica. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
