Obituary of Stanley Bogdan Stanley Bogdan 1920 – 2018 Baldwinsville/Marcy Stanley E. Bogdan, 98, a long time area resident passed away on, Sunday, May 20, 2018 in the comfort of his son John’s Home. He was born in Utica on May 1, 1920 the son of the late Ignacy and Antonina Bogdanowicz, and received his education from St. Stanislaus Parochial School, Thomas R. Proctor High School and attended M.V.C.C. Stanley proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII until his Honorable Discharge.

On June 1, 1963 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Josephine Widay. Together they shared a blessed union of fifty-five years. Stanley was an active member of several local Polish/American and Civic organizations throughout the area, including the Walter Skiba PLAV Post #20 where he was the commander and the St. Stanislaus B&M Church Holy Name Society.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Church in Whitesboro where he served proudly as the Head Usher for many years. His survivors include his step-children, Shirley (Ron) Lado of Baldwinsville, and John (Caprice) Kleaka, of Baldwinsville. Also surviving are six grandchildren; Tracey (Dana) Chesbro, Mark (Panjai) Lado, Jason (Susan) Lado, John (Kim – Marie) Kleaka, Forrest (Amy) Kleaka and John M. Joseph as well as five great grandchildren; Justin Lado, Benjamin Lado, Bryne Kleaka, Taryn Kleaka, and Emerson Kleaka, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Stanley was predeceased by his stepchildren, Gary Kleaka , Denise Joseph and three brothers and four sisters. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church, Whitesboro. Those who wish may call on Tuesday morning from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Kowalczyk Funeral Home, 1156 Lincoln Ave.

, Utica. Burial with Military Honors will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
