讣告 我们怀着极为沉痛的心情向大家报告： 世界著名的优秀农业工程师魏剑涛(Brian) 博 士，于2019年1月25日凌晨因心脏病突发，在美国Iowa州Eldora市不幸逝世，终年45 岁。 魏剑涛博士1974年出生于中国河南省邓州市。早年在中国农业大学攻读工学学士和 硕士学位,师从张铁中教授，在基于机器视觉的嫁接机器人领域有重大创新。1999年魏剑 涛赴美国堪萨斯州立大学深造，师从张乃迁教授，专攻嵌入式系统和局域控制网络, 于 2003年取得博士学位。 2004年魏剑涛博士赴美国佛罗里达大学从事博士后研究，之后在美国三大农机公司 – 约翰迪尔，爱科和CNH先后任职，在变量施肥控制、农机高速通信网络及系统、果树监 测、精准农业系统集成、自动导航等方面积累了丰富的经验，作出了巨大的贡献。 他在 美国爱科公司研发的国际农机总线系统, 已在多个品牌的农业机械上得到了大规模应用。 他曾经取得多项专利，又多次获得美国农业工程师学会颁发的AE50产品创新奖和优秀论 文奖, 以及海外华人农业生物及食品工程师协会(AOC)颁发的早期成就奖。他已经成为农 业机械化、电气化、自动化领域中世界领先的学者， 近年来，魏剑涛博士频繁往来于中美两国之间，积极促进农机自动化技术的学术交 流与转化应用，并在中国创建了研发企业怀玉农业电子公司，为中国农业现代化的快速发 展作出了积极的贡献。 魏剑涛博士是AOC的创始会员之一，也曾担任该协会秘书和职业发展委员会主任。 他曾受聘为国际农机总线(ISO 11783)委员会专家并负责起草制定农机总线国际标准，也 曾担任国际农业电子基金会(Agricultural Electronic Foundation)标准委员会专家组成员和 美国农业工程师协会农业装备自动化委员会分会的主席。 魏剑涛博士是在陪同中国专家考察过程中不幸离世的。他为人谦和、真诚、直率、 乐观，工作上执着、刻苦。他的英年早逝对他的家人和对世界农机行业都是一个巨大的损 失。 魏剑涛博士膝下留有一女一子，Ina 和Yaming，由他的妻子Eva抚养。 愿魏剑涛博士安息！ 魏剑涛的家人和朋友们 另注： 1. 我们已经设立了Wei and Family’s Memorial Fund 以帮助他的遗孀和子女度过难关. 有 意捐赠者可登录 gf.
