Jimmie Lee Anderson (aka Turkey) was born January 11, 1948 in Miami, Florida to the late Howard and Fannie Mae Anderson. He departed this life on Monday, September 3, 2018 in Elkhart, Indiana. He was 70 years old.

Jimmie moved from Miami to Osceola Arkansas in his early teen years. It was there in 1967 that he married Lenora Ward. He then moved his family to St. Louis, Missouri in 1972 where they remained for one year before coming to Elkhart in 1973 where he resided until his death.

He was employed as a custodian with Elkhart Community Schools Career Center until retirement. Jimmie is survived by his son, Marvin G, Ward (wife Rhonda) of Lepanto, Arkansas, daughter, Annette Gray of Blytheville, Arkansas, sisters, Emma Jean Anderson of St. Louis, MO, Katherine Williams Anderson of Tampa, FL, and Helen Anderson of New Orleans, LA. Ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Fannie Mae Anderson, Wife, Lenora Anderson (October 1989) and siblings Louise Crockett, Ella Mae Griffin, James Treadwell, Louis T. Treadwell and Essie Lee Beach.
