Jimmy “Diamond”‘s Obituary Funeral services for Jimmy ‘Diamond’ Robertson will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the Unity Baptist Church in Hugo, OK with Pastor Joe Deavours officiating; burial will follow at the Shoals Cemetery in Hugo, OK. Diamond passed from this life February 10, 2019, in Paris, TX at the age of 79. Jimmy Dale Robertson, known by friends and family as ‘Diamond’, was born April 26, 1939, to J.E. Robertson and Gladys (Saxon) Robertson, in Seminole, OK.

He married the love of his life, Donna, October 10, 1959, in Hugo, OK, and together they were blessed with over 59 years of marriage. Diamond had lived in this area all of his life. He was fond of trains and worked his way up from a brakeman to engineer with Kiamichi Railroad.

He was an active member of the Unity Baptist Church and with the Hugo chapter of the Masonic Lodge #217. Jim loved being outdoors golfing, fishing, working his cows, and reading westerns. He especially loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Diamond was preceded in death by his parents, J. E. and Gladys; his daughter, Lisa Robertson; five brothers, J.L. Robertson, Jack Robertson, Don Robertson, Randy Robertson, and Lloyd Robertson; and one sister, Geraldean Keen. Diamond leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Donna, of the home; Son Greg Robertson, and wife, Kim, of Hugo, OK; sisters, Glenda Kelsey, Carol Palmer, Joyce Jones, Brenda Moody, and Barbara Bible; two grandchildren, Kalyn Holbert and Nicole Loper; and three great-grandchildren, Makenna Holbert, Jaleigh Loper, and Jace Loper. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 11, 2019, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel.
