Jimmy Kenneth Brooks, 76, of Sebree, KY, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Brooks was born January 3, 1942 in Sebree, KY to the late Kenneth and Alicenia Brooks Wiggington. He was a Deacon and Sunday school teacher at Mt.

Gilead General Baptist Church. He retired from Whirlpool and was a farmer for most of his life. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans and the Rolling Thunder.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Karen (Timmons) Brooks; three sons, Jeff Brooks (Darlene) of Baskett, KY, John Brooks (Shannon) of Slaughters, KY, Jarrett “Boomer” Brooks of Sebree, KY; two step sons, Rodney Brooks of Clay, KY, Roger Brooks (Donna) of Clay, KY; three sisters, Martha Ann Brooks (David Wright) of Sebree, KY, Marla Thomas of Israel, Cheryle Wiggins (Randy) of Sebree, KY; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 25, 2018, 1:00 PM at Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church, 2777 Mount Gilead Mount Pleasant Rd, Slaughters, KY with Brother Steve Dame and Brother Harry Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Springdale Cemetery in Sebree.

Visitation will be Monday, September 24, 2018, 4:00-8:00 PM at the church and Tuesday, September 25, 2018, 10:00 AM-1:00 PM at the church. Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
