Obituary for Jimmy Nix Obituary for Jimmy Nix Memorial services for Jimmy Nix, 81, of Lexington, will be announced at a later date and time. Interment will be private. Mr. Nix passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018.

Born in Bamberg, SC, he was a son of the late Wilmont Rene and Elizabeth Hutto Nix. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and brother who will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, cheering for the University of South Carolina football and baseball teams, the Atlanta Braves baseball team, and spending time with his family.

Jimmy was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church in Gilbert. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Rose; son, Eddie Nix (Dee) of Lexington; daughter, Melissa Alewine (Rich) of Lexington; daughter, Jennifer Kauffman (Don) of Greer; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Jimmy was predeceased by his parents and siblings.

There will be a drop in visitation for friends and family at the home, 115 Kings Way Lexington, on Saturday, June 16, from 1-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Jimmy Nix please visit our Sympathy Store.
