Kenneth Russell Lester, 63, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018. Born November 25, 1954 in Grundy, VA, he was a son of the late Burb Lester and Spicy Keen Lester. Kenneth owned and operated Ken’s Repair in Lexington since 1997 where many considered Ken’s to be the only repair company.

Prior to owning his own business, he worked for Capitol Tours for 14 years. He was a fan of bluegrass music and was a Dale Earnhardt fanatic. Kenneth also loved to collect antique coins.

Survivors include his son Jerry (Robina) Caulder; daughters Stephanie (Ashley) Brady, Dawn (Allen) Spell, April Gunter; grandchildren Taylor, Robert, Cheyenne, Courtney, Michaella, Josh, Jakob, Maria, Zoe, and Daniel; 3 great grandchildren; brothers Vaughn (Sue), Jennings (Barbara), and Otis Lester. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Tamra Lester; brother Jerry Lester; and sister Geneva Matney. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held 12 pm, Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, with burial to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, Pelion, SC.

The family will greet friends Monday, July 23, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Following the services, a reception will be held at the home of his son, Jerry, at 4921 Platt Springs Rd. , West Columbia, SC.
